Jeff R. Rode is a Managing Director at for Segall Bryant & Hamill. He is responsible for management and equity research within the strategies. In December 2006, he was named lead manager for the Mid Cap strategy. He was named a Managing Director/Principal of the firm in 2003. Prior to joining Segall Bryant & Hamill in 1999, he served as an Analyst in the investment banking department at JP Morgan. Jeff is a graduate of Northwestern University and has earned a Chartered Financial Analyst designation. He has been in the investment industry since 1998.
“I have always been attracted to nature and open spaces,” says Jeff. “I enjoy boating, biking, skiing, and long walks, and we have recently installed a new organic garden in our backyard.”
Asked about why he decided to join the board of Openlands, Jeff continued, “I felt that being on the board of Openlands was a way for me to give back to nature. My favorite Openlands project is the Lakeshore Preserve. It’s really the only untouched portion of true Illinois lakefront left, and now we have ensured its protection.”
