Liam Nigro headshot luncheon

Liam Nigro is the Forestry Program Coordinator at Openlands, where he works to develop the urban tree canopy around Chicago through community organizing and education with the TreeKeepers program. Liam is from Cleveland, OH, holding a degree from The Ohio State University (‘23) in Environmental Economics and Sustainable Development as well as Creative Writing. He has a background in Conservation working in the Trails Division at Cleveland Metroparks, as an Outdoor Educator in Telluride, CO, and in Community Programming at OSU. Liam is driven to bridge communities with the tools they need to cultivate a living, loving connection with the land and people around them. In his free time, you can find him paddling on Lake Michigan, playing music with friends, or flipping through poetry books around the city.
