Inspired by her experiences at Harvard Divinity School and the role of social impact in creating long-lasting change, Alexa Rice is a distinguished writer who uses her talents to help the private-sector lead meaningful initiatives.

Alexa currently serves as a Senior Director at Handshake Partners, where she oversees various client accounts and assists with providing strategic guidance to clients through research and writing. Prior to joining Handshake, Alexa spent time working in public relations and communications at BBDO Worldwide, Fleishman-Hillard, and Yoox located in Shanghai, among others.

Alexa first got involved with Openlands through the TreeKeepers Course, which she enrolled in and completed during the COVID-19 quarantine. She is passionate about making green spaces accessible for all people, and part of her studies in graduate school centered around theology and ecology, specifically around environmental justice and access.

Alexa is a graduate of Wellesley College, where she studied Art History.
