Alan is a partner at the law firm of Charity & Associates P.C. In this role, Alan focuses on municipal finance and real estate finance.
Alan is also the Founder, President, and CEO of The Elements Group, a company that focuses on nature-oriented development projects.
Alan joined Openlands’ Board in 2008 and was very impressed and energized by Openlands’ mission and enjoys hiking and biking along Chicago’s lakefront and urban trails.
Alan serves on the Board of Directors of the Land Trust Alliance and the Black Ensemble Theater. He is a founder and board member of The Elements Community Initiatives, founder and board member of Unity Green at Gill Park, and a member of the Mies van der Rohe Society.
Alan lives in Lake View. He received his Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame and his law degree from the University of Notre Dame Law School.
