About County Line Access

The small conservation area provides parking for a boat launch on the Kishwaukee River located on the opposite side of County Line Road and maintained by the Boone County Conservation District. Completed in 2017, Openlands facilitated a multi-agency project to protect a 89-acre conservation area in Boone County, create this launch site, provide parking in McHenry County, and repair a bridge on County Line Road.
