Rebecca supports Openlands as Development & Data Associate, where she assists in organizing fundraising initiatives with a strong emphasis on individual giving and supports data-driven donor engagement. With several years of experience in nonprofit development and fundraising, Rebecca brings expertise in narrative development, stakeholder cultivation, and leveraging sales and marketing backgrounds for impact.

Before joining Openlands, she relocated from California in late 2019 and drew upon her sales and marketing experience to transition into the nonprofit sector, using her skills to build deeper donor connections and advance philanthropic growth. Rebecca holds a Master’s in Nonprofit Management from DePaul University and a Bachelor’s degree in English from Saint Leo University.

Passionate about expanding access to nature and stewarding greenspaces in the Chicago region, Rebecca is known for her thoughtful, strategic approach and her ability to craft compelling stories that resonate with donors and stakeholders.

Favorite Place to Get Outside — she enjoys exploring Chicago’s lakefront, Busse Woods, and local parks in her neighborhood.
