Lupe is the School Garden Coordinator at Openlands. Lupe’s work includes supporting school communities in connecting to nature and the land and supporting educators as they educate in the garden and the outdoors. Lupe has worked for the Student Conservation Association, the Chicago Park District, and local contractors in the Chicagoland area doing restoration work in the outdoors including invasive species management, stimulating native plant growth, and environmental education.
