Overview

Spring Creek Reservoir has an oak savanna, meadows and an immature woodland surrounding the reservoir. The preserve is home to a variety of plants and wildlife. Spring Creek Reservoir has several picnic tables and grassy areas where you can spread a blanket. You can fish for bass, catfish, bluegill and sunfish at the 17-acre reservoir, which is 15 feet deep on average but can reach 55 feet during floods, when it stores stormwater from Springbrook Creek.

With a half mile of shoreline and several benches along a 1-mile asphalt trail, Spring Creek Reservoir is ideal for walking, jogging, bicycling or in-line skating and offers a great 20-minute lunchtime loop. More than a mile of hard-surfaced trail is accessible to individuals with wheelchairs.
