Overview

Monee Reservoir is home to a 46-acre lake that offers visitors access for fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and boating. You can bring personal canoes and kayaks, but a day permit is required. Alternatively, rentals are available at the visitor center. The preserve also features picnic shelters, 1.66 miles of gravel trails, concessions, and geocaching.


Canoes and kayaks are also available for rental for use on the lake May 1-September 30. Life vests and paddles are included with the rental. Fishing is permitted from canoes and kayaks.
