Lions Woods

About Lions Woods

Lions Woods, located in Des Plaines and managed by the Forest Preserves of Cook County, offers a welcoming green space with convenient amenities for visitors year-round.

The site features an accessible picnic shelter available from May 1 to October 31, along with accessible parking. A path also connects to an accessible portable bathroom for ease of use.

Visitors will find parking on-site, making Lions Woods a comfortable and inclusive spot for gatherings, relaxation, and enjoying time outdoors.

Lions Wood is a different location than Lyons Woods Forest Preserves, a Lake County location that is based in Waukegan.
