Tree Planting in Harvey

Join Openlands, Neighborscapes, and the Harvey Park District in planting native trees at Honore Park this fall! This is our second project with Harvey this year and we hope to continue to bring shade, beauty, and the prospect of cleaner air to the community and park enthusiasts.

Tree Tour at Hanson Park

Join TreeKeeper and certified arborist, Angelica Duran, on a Tree Walk around Hanson Park. She will talk about different tree ID characteristics such as leaf types, leaf (bud) arrangements, tree morphology, and more! There are many fun and native trees in this park.

Pruning Workday at Mozart Park

Join the 1st Ward/Humboldt/Avondale/Logan Square TKs in pruning Mozart Park. Bring your own eye protection, gloves, and a water bottle; and tools if you have them. Some tools will be available.  Volunteers who are not TreeKeepers are encouraged to attend to help drag brush!

Join us for a tree walk focusing on tree identification, growth habit, and appreciation. We will meet at the Independence Park Field House (East side of the Field House, which is also the side facing the park! On the steps! Look for the green umbrella!).
