As Chief Operating Officer at Openlands, Daniella Pereira advances the organization’s vision, operational strategy, and long-term sustainability. With over 20 years of leadership experience in environmental conservation, Daniella oversees key departments, including Administration, Conservation and Policy, Community Conservation, Communications, and Human Resources. In this role, she translates strategic plans into actionable goals, implements process improvements to enhance efficiency, and fosters a culture of equity, inclusion, and collaboration. Through strengthening partnerships and guiding impactful initiatives, Daniella ensures operational excellence and drives progress toward Openlands’ mission to protect natural spaces and enrich lives.
Daniella is an ISA Certified Arborist and holds a Master of Science in Forestry from Michigan Tech and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from UIC.
