Nicole is a retired corporate executive who has served primarily as a senior financial officer for several corporations in the Midwest. She was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Abraxis Bioscience, Inc., and was a President of one of its subsidiaries. She was also Executive Vice President and Corporate Secretary of R.P. Scherer Corporation. 

Early in her career Nicole was a financial analyst for the Illinois Bureau of the Budget under the Ogilvie administration. She was also a member of the Board of the Metropolitan Planning Council in Chicago and Chair of the Illinois Environmental Facilities Financing Authority. 

Nicole joined Openlands’ Board in 2018 but her relationship with Openlands goes back nearly 20 years when she granted a conservation easement on her property in Glencoe to the organization. Recently, she and Openlands successfully defended the easement against neighbors who had repeatedly cut trees to improve their view of the lake. She continues to serve as a long-standing Board member of the Chicago Horticultural Society.

Nicole lives in Glencoe. She received her MBA from the University of Chicago.
