Madison supports Openlands as the Communications Specialist, where she manages Openland’s digital media, including web, email, and socials. With 2 years of experience in nonprofit development and 3 years in newsrooms, Madison brings expertise in content creation and strategic communications.
Before joining Openlands, she worked at The Honeycomb Project, where she managed communications, wrote grants, and planned fundraising initiatives. Madison holds a Bachelors of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University. Passionate about getting people connected with environmental advocacy, Madison is known for her engaging photo, video, and written content.
Favorite Place to Get Outside- she enjoys walks through the Montrose Bird Sanctuary, and is actively involved in local mutual aid networks and cooking for local shelters.
