Kim supports Openlands as the Land Preservation Specialist, where she works with landowners to implement conservation easements and protect land in perpetuity. With 16 years of experience in Conservation, Kim brings expertise in ecology, land preservation and land management. Before joining Openlands, she worked as a Land Conservation Specialist, where she protected a variety of lands including natural lands, farmlands and an abandoned cemetery. Kim holds a Master of Science from Indiana University. Passionate about land preservation and restoration, Kim is known for working with landowners to achieve their land management goals.

Favorite Place to Get Outside- She enjoys hiking to see rare plants in the region (i.e. Volo Bog, Bluff Springs Fen and Illinois Beach State Park) and is actively involved in the Illinois Native Plant Society and volunteering for her local food pantries.
