About Bremen Grove

Bremen Grove, located along Oak Park Avenue just south of 159th Street near Tinley Park, is part of the Forest Preserves of Cook County and connects to the southern portion of the Tinley Creek Trail System—a network of paved loops winding through prairies, forests, wetlands, and ravines. The preserve is open 365 days a year, from sunrise to sunset.

Visitors will find a range of amenities, including parking, an accessible indoor bathroom, and an accessible picnic grove with shelter (open May 1–October 31) that can accommodate up to 350 people. The grove is just 92 feet from the parking lot and 382 feet from the restroom. Bremen Grove also features trail access to the Tinley Creek system, offering both paved and unpaved paths for hiking, walking, running, and bicycling. In winter, the trails are popular for cross-country skiing. Dogs are welcome on-leash throughout the preserve, and a 3-acre off-leash dog area—with separate fenced sections for large and small dogs—is available to annual members.
