Claudia Latapi supports Openlands as Public Relations and Content Specialist, where she develops and executes media strategies to raise awareness about Openlands at the local, regional and national levels. With more than eight years of experience spanning global tech companies, consumers brands, and non-profit organizations, Claudia brings both strategic vision and hands-on leadership to advance Openlands’ communications goals.

Before joining Openlands, she worked at Coca-Cola FEMSA, where she managed digital strategy and public relations initiatives to amplify corporate and sustainability objectives across Latin America and Southeast Asia. Claudia holds a master’s degree in Integrated Marketing and Communications from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. She is passionate about developing and implementing communication strategies that inspire action, drive change, and build community connections. Claudia is known for her ability to craft high-impact storytelling, consistently capturing media’s attention while also collaborating with local content creators to elevate brand visibility.

Favorite Place to Get Outside – Claudia enjoys walking with her family along Chicago’s lakefront and watching the seasons change through the lens of her camera. As a trained photographer, she loves capturing people and nature and is passionate about visiting the city’s seasonal farmers markets.
