Paul Spector 2024 Luncheon headshots

Paul is Openlands’ Director of Finance and Accounting.  He came to the organization with over 20 years of accounting experience, with the last 10 dedicated to ensuring the financial health of mission-based agencies.  Prior to Openlands, Paul was the Director of Finance for Treatment Alternatives for Safe Communities and previously held the same position at Cabrini Green Legal Aid.   In his current role, he is responsible for all facets of Openlands’ financial operations, including accounting and controllership, internal and external financial reporting, budgeting, financial analysis, internal audits, regulatory compliance, as well as fiscal policy development.  Paul earned his bachelor’s degree at Loyola University of Chicago and is a licensed CPA in the state of Illinois.  He is also a member of the AICPA.  Providing top-notch financial leadership requires countless hours behind a computer screen, but Paul has a genuine appreciation for the natural world, and getting outside is never far from mind. Hiking with his dogs, rock climbing, and reading for pleasure under an old tree are among his favorite activities.
