African American Heritage Water Trail: Cal-Sag Channel-Major Taylor Bridge

This sunset canoe event is brought to you by Openlands and Forest Preserves of Cook County.
Celebrate Openlands’ 60th anniversary by paddling the African American Heritage Water Trail on The Little Calumet River! Take a guided canoe ride through history and nature with Wilderness Inquiry’s canoe mobile. Experience the beauty of the river and learn about history on the west end of the trail such as themes in Civil Rights, including Major Taylor, the Village of Robbins, and the Robbins Airport.
The event begins at 5:00 pm and ends at 7:00 pm. Reserve your tickets now! All are welcome, no paddling experience is required.
