Nate Whelden is proud to be a member of the ARA program. In addition to his work as an aspiring arborist, Nate is a multidisciplinary theatre artist with more than a decade of experience as an actor, educator, producer, carpenter, and director of new play development. He speaks English and Spanish and is a certified ESL and ABE tutor. He graduated from the University of Virginia where he was awarded for outstanding contributions to the theatre department. Nate loves baseball, music, reading, cooking, backpacking, birds, wild places, and is Treekeeper 1819. He lives with his wife Elizabeth in Albany Park.
