Alysandra Rodriguez

Alysandra Rodriguez is the Stewardship Coordinator where she supports land protection projects such as monitoring conservation easements and properties owned by Openlands. Before joining the Openlands team in 2018, Alysandra did internships with the U.S. Forest Service and National Park Service focusing a bulk of her work on grassland bird habitat restoration and urban forestry. A few of her internships brought her locally to Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie, Northwest Indiana, and out East to Manassas National Battlefield in Virginia, where she contributed to bird surveys, restoration activities, and community tree plantings. Originally from Chicago, Alysandra enjoys travelling internationally and experiencing new cultures.

  • Bachelor of Science, Environmental Studies with a concentration in Biodiversity and Environmental Restoration at Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, IL
