J. Timothy Ritchie joined the Openlands board in 1996 and chairs the Fundraising Committee. Before retiring, Tim served as Trust Counsel and previously as Associate General Counsel for The Northern Trust Company. He admires Openlands’ “enthusiasm for the preservation of open space and for the health and welfare of residents in the region.” The work that excites him the most is the Openlands Lakeshore Preserve. He also loves how Openlands uses multiple programs for emphasizing connectivity to nature. Tim serves as a vice chair for the Indiana Chapter of the Nature Conservancy. Some of his favorite outdoor activities are golfing and hiking.
