Paddle-A-Trail enlists the help of seasoned and first-time paddlers alike to document the ever-changing conditions on waterways in northeastern Illinois and the surrounding region. This annual event continues the rich tradition of waterways exploration and mapping in the Midwest and provides an easy, healthy, and unique way to enjoy countless crowd-less miles of rivers, streams, and lakes.
Would you like to help make your local waterway healthier, cleaner, and safer for paddling? TrailKeepers volunteers do just that. (For a listing of TrailKeepers events click here.)
If you’re concerned about the quality of water and diversity of animals in our region’s rivers and streams, sign up for StreamLeaders, a hands-on training course designed to enhance citizen participation in stream conservation. This year's StreamLeaders classes will take place at the Forest Preserve District of Will County's Hadley Valley substation, in New Lenox, IL.
